A lady I knew from college was visiting from the Ukraine. She brought her 4 adopted children to meet me. Specifically her daughter who is also an artist wanted to come and watch me paint. It’s been about 18 years since I’ve seen her. She encouraged me saying how she always saw my potential and how proud she was of me doing this amazing thing. It’s nice to hear encouragement like that. As an artist, it is a vulnerable thing putting your insides on canvas. You can’t help but feel a little nervous not knowing what people are thinking. But she was a good reminder to let loose, tune into who you are, do the thing you’re good at and not let anyone’s judgement stop you from pursuing the dream. Watching her live a selfless life by rescuing these 4 children is an amazing thing to see. She is a beautiful & inspiring soul. She brought light and hope into those children’s lives.
