Description

There’s a nice couple who talks to me often when I see them around town at events. This last time I saw them, she didn’t look like she was doing very well. I asked how they were doing and he said, “Under the circumstances, we are doing alright.” A few times during our conversation they spoke about her health. She said a few times, “It’s ok though.”

Awhile later, he came back alone to talk with me. I asked him, “What is the cause of your wife's sickness?

“You know”, he said, “about 5 years ago she was bit by a spider. We think the venom from the spider attacked her bones. She’s never been diagnosed. She’s been tested for MS, and a bunch of other diseases, but all those tests come back negative. We are going to see another doctor in the new year.”

I said, “Come back and talk to me before you guys leave.” So they did. We got our picture taken together. She stumbled and seemed very weak and walks with a cane. I touched her shoulder as she kind of lost balance and fell into me and I said, “Maria, I just want you to know that it’s not ok. It’s not ok that you are sick. It’s NOT ok.

She kind of looked at me funny. I said, “I don’t know what you believe but..”

“Oh I believe in God.” She said.

“Ok good!” I said. “Then I want you to say this to yourself every day. I reject sickness. I reject disease. There’s a scripture that says, "I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I was knit together in my mother’s womb." This sickness must leave and I do not give it permission to stay. It is not allowed to remain in my body and it has to go. Tell it to leave. Reject sickness. Receive healing. Receive wholeness. Thank God every day for healing you and for His Healing power. This is not ok. What have you got to lose by saying these things?”

“YES!” She said, “I will! I will say these things!”

“Good!” I said. “God doesn’t want you to be sick. This is not what He wants for you. Say it everyday. I believe and declare that my body is going to get well.”

She had a gleam of hope in her eyes as if no one has ever said anything like this to her before.
