This painting is about the places I go to clear my head. I go for walks every day and take a break from the easel. Sometimes I walk alone. Sometimes I walk with someone. But the open air and the open sky helps me work out life as much as painting. I take these scenes as snapshots in my mind and then go back to the easel and paint them. Everything I paint is inspired by places I’ve been. I partly work from my mind and partly work from photographs.
